Locha Design

Locha Design is the studio of Tshidzo Mangena, a graduate of CPUT’s Industrial Product Design programme. Tshidzo describes his design language as 'Afro Avant Garde', taking courage from a conviction to design from a place of freedom, expression, and fun.

“I find myself drawn to statement silhouettes that are elegant and beautiful from every angle. I love designing with strong, straight lines and juxtaposing that with curves or softness, introducing interesting geometry to my pieces. My focus is on creating statement, high-end furniture with classic appeal – pieces that will stand the test of time”.
