Binky Newman weaves the stories and traditions of African design through her company, Design Afrika. By supporting the continuing development of African furniture that has stood the test of time, Binky has inspired artisans in remote areas of South Africa, Djibouti, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Design Afrika highlights the beauty and perfection of the handmade, and places an emphasis on combining traditional materials with contemporary recycled alternatives.
