Studio Lloyd

Studio Lloyd is a female-run lighting design studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. It strives for diversity within the handcrafted lighting and furniture design scope and creates unique and organic pieces. The studio was founded in 2016 by industrial lighting designer Ashlee Lloyd. Each piece at Studio Lloyd is delicately made with sublime attention to detail.

Studio Lloyd incorporates the traditional technique of crochet into modern lighting and focuses on creating organic shapes within each unique design. They allow each fixture to develop organically and combine luxurious high-quality materials. The products range from light sculpture installations to light pendants, seating and decorative elements for international as well as local projects.

For Cape Town Furniture Week 2024, Studio Lloyd is exhibiting in the official CTFW New Design Exhibition, sharing a preview of their new lighting collection launching in April 2024.
