Kino

Kino is a design-led furniture studio led by Nico Hendriksz and Anton Louw, with a focus on manufacturing high-end furniture pieces in solid hardwoods. The team behind Kino believes that good design is the ability to combine considered shape and materials to create a product that is beautiful as well as functional.

For Cape Town Furniture Week, Kino will unveil an exciting interpretation of their Vanity Stand in collaboration with Always Welcome, made from reclaimed material of the iconic Muizenberg Beach Huts. Their limited edition design preserves and highlights some of the original colour paints on the timber and integrates recycled and upcycled material knowledge. The project celebrates collectible design, while preserving history and promoting sustainable practices to benefit a meaningful cause.
